Effective Date: August 4, 2026
Introduction
CallON is operated by CallON LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("CallON," "we," "us," or "our"). CallON is a community-based platform where members find help, offer help, and share and discover local favorites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the CallON mobile application and website (the "Service").
By creating an account or using CallON, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- A password (stored securely as a hash — we never see or store your actual password)
Profile Information
You may choose to provide:
- A profile photo
- A bio or personal description
- Your role preference (looking for help, offering help, or both)
- How you can help
- Work experience
- Zip code(s) where you are available
- Your availability schedule
Opportunity & Job Data
When you post or respond to opportunities, we store:
- Opportunity titles, descriptions, and scheduling details
- The zip code associated with the opportunity
- Status updates (open, in progress, completed)
Messages
When you send messages to other users through CallON, the content of those messages is stored so both participants — or all members of a group conversation — can access the conversation. Messages may include text, photos, and voice recordings, and can be edited, replied to, forwarded, or reacted to with emoji. We also store whether a message has been read, any emoji reactions you add, and whether you have muted or archived a conversation.
Reviews
After completing a job, users may leave reviews. Review text and the associated job are stored and may be displayed on your public profile if you accept the review.
Recommendations & Places
When you recommend a place, or agree with a place another member has recommended, we store:
- The place's name, category, and location
- Any notes or description you add
- A website link, if you provide one
- A member you tag to the recommendation, if any
- Which places you have recommended, agreed with, endorsed, or saved for later
Connections & Invitations
Because CallON is invite-based and connection-based, we store:
- Invite codes and invite links you create or use
- Who invited you, and the members you invite or connect with
- Connection request status (pending, accepted, or declined) and invitation status
Favorites & Saved Items
We store the members you favorite, the opportunities you save, and the place recommendations you save, so you can find them again later.
Volunteer & Organization Information
If you choose to provide it, we store your volunteer interests and areas of focus, your availability to volunteer, and which volunteer opportunities you have accepted or been confirmed for. If you represent a nonprofit organization, we also store your nonprofit status, your organization's mission, website, and other organizational details you provide.
Blocking, Hiding & Exclusions
CallON offers three separate controls:
- Blocking — if you block a member, they cannot view your profile or contact you
- Hiding — if you hide a member, their posts are hidden from your view
- Excluding — you can exclude specific members from seeing particular opportunities you post
We store these preferences so we can filter content accordingly.
Notification Preferences
We store your notification preferences, including which types of notifications you have chosen to receive by push notification or email.
Activity & Usage Information
To power real-time and matching features, we record:
- When you were last active, and your online status (you can hide this — see Your Privacy Controls)
- Typing indicators while you are composing a message
- Whether messages have been read (you can turn off read receipts)
Matching Activity
When we match you with an opportunity, we record whether you viewed, dismissed, offered to help with, or were confirmed for it. This helps us deliver relevant matches and lets posters see interest.
Reports
If you report another member, we store your report and the reason you provide so our team can review it and help keep the community safe.
Device Information
To deliver push notifications and support the app, we collect:
- Your device's push notification token
- Basic device type (iOS, Android, or web)
- The app version and device model you last used, and when — used by our administrators for troubleshooting and compatibility
We do not collect advertising identifiers or precise location, and we do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Precise location: We do not use GPS or track your device's location. Location is based solely on zip codes you manually enter.
- Analytics & tracking: We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- Financial information: CallON does not process payments or collect financial data.
- Contacts or phone data: We do not access your contacts, call logs, or other phone data.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service: Create your account, display your profile, match you with relevant opportunities based on how you can help and your location, and facilitate communication between users.
- Send notifications: Alert you about new opportunities that match how you can help, messages from other users, connection requests, and job status updates.
- Maintain safety & security: Enforce our terms, review reports, prevent misuse, and protect our community through invite-based registration and connection-based visibility controls.
Your Privacy Controls
CallON gives you granular control over what appears on your public profile. You can independently show or hide:
- Your bio
- How you can help
- Your zip code(s)
- Your availability schedule
- Your work history
- Your work experience
- Whether your name appears in others' work history
- Your online status and when you were last active
- Read receipts (whether others can see that you've read their messages)
You can also limit opportunity visibility to your direct connections only, and block or hide specific users.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Your information may be shared in the following limited ways:
